matthew laskowski

pretty fresh style of illustrations by laskowski, a student at the art institute of boston. looking at urban life, he looks at the technical side over organic and focuses around conceptual art design.

the conversation prism

the conversation prism displays the art of hearing, listening and sharing. at some point in our lives, we have divulged ourselves and our information into some form of media online, be it facebook, twitter, myspace, youtube, vimeo, pandora, etc...the list goes on and on.

the prism is an idea brought to life by pr exec, brian solid. he uses the prism to allow others to build a framework to successfully exist inside the social network of the web.

The Eloquence of the Conversation Prism and Social Science

The inspiration for its inception derived from a consistent observation of top-down methodologies and practices of brands, professional and personal, employed to create a presence on the social Web. Simply stated, brands focused on building presences in the most popular communities without regard to how they would attract inhabitants and ultimately interact, let alone whether or not their core ambassadors were present.

The Conversation Prism suggested a reversal in this approach, instead inspiring a bottom-up strategy that promoted social research, mapping, and ethnography. This inceptive sociological fieldwork would change everything and provide the insight necessary to develop an enlightened and cultured Social Media program that could potentially humanize the brand and foster relationships and engender emissaries to carry goodwill across the social web.

truly design

truly-design is a pretty sick collective out of italy. at one time, four street artists, rems182, ninja1, mach505, and mauro 149 were all individual artists but good friends. realizing they all had a strong passion for the same works, street art and everything revolving around it.

they consider themselves a artistic collective that specializes in corporate identity, logo design, aerosol art, mural and canvas painting, interior decoration and artwork.

it's been a slow trend, but the corporate world has finally been opening
its door to the urban world where a creativity has evolved to reach new levels that were previously not thought of . the new thought leaders in creativity are no longer the top-notch creative directors in suits.

counter-culture is the new pop culture.

and the people in hip-hop, indie and urban worlds who were once difficult to find, and hiding under a rock...are now the people we look to for creativity.

cats like truly-design nearly define that model, doing work for nike, dc shoes, the european institute of design, fiat, the european union, budweiser and many more.

you can peep their website at www.truly-design.com

check out some of their recent work below:

the photoshop ad bust

whether you're in a department store, a subway or straight up on the streets, its common to see advertisements tagged, altered, and messed with.

but the cats behind the ads in subway stations in berlin for britney spears, leona lewis and christina aguilera, have taken it to a whole new level.

we all know the artform of the airbrush for models, celebrities, and advertisements. but on the eve of the biggie movie...if you don't know, now you know. only putting up a few pictures here, but definitely follow the link to see the rest. it's unreal.

2create designs

in december, taacit began its design process with a new client. wanting to be branded as a successful wedding & event planning company, they turned to taacit to evolve who they truly were.

with all-over-the-place brainstorms, countless e-mails, and a lot of creative thought, 2Create Designs was born. we developed their logo, company core values, a whole brand identity, and their animated web presence.

here's a little descriptor on who they are:

2Create embodies your visions to-create events a level far beyond your visual imagery.

jordan in 2009

looks like mike is changing it up this year. as 2008 brings the close of the jordan number collection (I - XXIII), the airness himself is now going to be dropping kicks with the year associated with it. no word on if that'll mean only a pair a year...but with the amount of detail that mj and his crew put into each pair of kicks... makes it all the worthwhile.
